Indeed we are — it’s an interesting problem, balancing aesthetics and functionality when designing visualizations. Iraq here, for example, is fairly difficult to distinguish from the ocean coloring on certain screens.

We’re working on some new maps right now. As part of that effort, we’re considering making changes to the overall design of maps for precisely the reason Anonymous mentioned.
