I'm part of a small Jeep club
called The Rat Patrol based out of Kokomo, Indiana. We are
currently 10 Jeep vehicles strong and building. We have members as
far north as Fort Wayne, Indiana, and one in Tennessee. We all
drive Wranglers and Rubicons, and will probably keep it that way.
(No offense to you other Jeep product owners. You're still part of
the Jeep family) OK, you ask, what is the Rat Patrol? The first Rat Patrol was
started in WWII by the British using Jeep vehicles with machine
guns mounted on the top to be a royal pain in the "you know what"
to the German General Rommel, known as the "Desert Fox" in the
North African Deserts. Most of you in your mid-40s and on would
probably remember the TV series “The Rat Patrol” of the
early 1970s. It starred Christopher George, (Sgt. Sam Troy) who by
the way was Vanna White’s uncle. It also starred Hans
Gudegast (Capt. Hans Dietrich) of “The Young and the
